After reading about the benefits of introducing swimming to your infant, I decided to bring Baby Raedon to a baby spa.

This is the one we went to :

Here are the benefits :

❤ Flotation and exercise in water supports mental and physical development that is essential to your baby’s ability to move with control, and act with purpose on land.

❤ The more your baby can use his/her brain and muscles, the stronger they will grow. When in water, your baby will find the freedom and space he/she needs to progress and, most importantly, have fun as they learn at their own pace.

❤ As your baby kicks around in the water, the small rocking waves he/she creates will help to improve their balance and coordination and, ultimately, support their ability to crawl, walk and swim. Even if your baby falls asleep in the water that rocking will continue with his/her rhythmic breathing.

❤ The sensation of floating in warm water puts babies completely at ease and can promote a number of key benefits.

❤ Muscular and skeletal strength is increased through the water’s gentle resistance.

❤ Movement through the water has a positive effect on the digestive and circulatory systems, which can reduce meconium levels and lowers the risk of jaundice three or four days after birth.

❤ Subtle water pressure on the chest can increase lung capacity by strengthening intercostal muscles and the respiratory system.

❤Regular visits can benefit the cardiovascular system.

❤Innate swimming reflexes are stimulated and co-ordination is developed as they learn to control their movements.

Raedon loves his bath time and everytime he is in the tub he is very very happy. In Europe, we also allowed him to swim in our bath tub with a neck float. So this is not his first time swimming. At the baby spa, Raedon was able to do his version of the breast stroke, back stroke and even trap water!

24 Feb 2014 - Do you like Raedon's new hairstyle??? I actually told the hair stylist I wanted David Beckham's 2013 hair style for him but I think she somehow shaved his hair too short.... However, I believe that Raedon's hair will grow as thick and as quickly as mine!

24 Feb 2014 - Raedon had lots of fun at the baby spa.

I believe the baby spa is good at their hydrotheraphy for babies, however, if you are thinking of bringing your babies there for a haircut, I would advice you to think twice. They did not do a good job with my Raedon's haircut and I wished I had brought him to another baby hair salon instead. In any case, I am convinced about the benefits that hydrotheraphy brings to infants, and will continue to let Baby Raedon paddle around as often as possible! =)
