And here's a mini interview with the folks at www.vivavshop.com :

What made you decide to start your own business?
We believe: What we wear is more than just a fashion statement, they are an extension of our personality; Clothes can turn someone mediocre into someone desirable, not only in presentation or looks but in character. We only sell to our customers what looks vogue to us, not the piece that cost the least when we buy. Being shoppers ourselves, we have seen how overheads like rental, utilities and the like are built into the selling price. Many a times, the clothes that we desire are often a notch above what we are willing to pay. On that basis, and a confluence of various other factors, Viva’V was conceptualized as a channel for us to source (from across the region) and bring to you what we feel is the definition of fashion, albeit at an affordable price. Fashion, really do not have to be expensive.

How did you decide on apparel?
As mentioned earlier, we believe what we wear is more than just a fashion statement, they are an extension of our personality; Clothes can turn someone mediocre into someone desirable, not only in presentation or looks but in character.  Therefore we felt that apparel is of utmost importance to us.

In what ways do you promote your business? Facebook, Twitter, instagram, print media?
We are confident of our products which are usually handpicked. In fact, we believe strongly that our promotion channels goes beyond the traditional media which further layers the selling price. We strive to maximize our exposure to the our right target consumers through blogs, websites, facebook and other online media. As information and shopping becomes mobile, that’s where we want to be.

What skills did you already have when you started your business and what did you have to learn?
The brainchild behind Viva’V is Vivien and Vanessa; who has between them skillsets and are well qualified in marketing, entrepreneurship, design and artistry in makeup/hairstyling which in totality and in synergy forms the backdrop for the inception of ViVa’V LLP. Notwithstanding the above experience, any new startup requires new learning experience. Being hands on with procurement, operations, setting corporate and exchange policies to itemizing inventories, the team at ViVa’V personally handles all these; all because of passion, without which the business becomes a business, not a channel to deliver our promise to you – Fashion.

Till the next post~~
Lots of love, blessings & light~~
