Ok I have been obsessed with the "BOKEH effect" ever since seeing it on Yutakis' blog. If you happen to have the iphone / the ipad / itouch, then you'll be able to apply this effect via IDARKROOM.
But I DON'T HAVE the ipad and I don't want it simply because I cannot play dvds in it. Anyway, between me and the bf, we have an IMAC, 2 macbook pros, 1 macbook air, 1 macbook and 3 sony vaio laptops. WTF, I too do not understand why we have so many gadgets. Lol.
I have an iphone though but the nicer photos which I want the bokeh effect on is in my sd card not my iphone. So, in short, I am MOTHER PISSED that the macbooks cannot download this app for ease of use.
And so, I decided to make my own version of a "BOKEH EFFECT OVERLAY" so that I can easily apply it to my photos and pretend that I very hardworking every time I use the bokeh effect. Lol.
But first of all, you'll need PHOTOSHOP in your computer. I am using PHOTOSHOP CS5.
STEP 1: Choose a photo which you would like to apply the "bokeh effect" to. I chose this. This photo has been touched up.
STEP 2 : Download these 2 psd files to your computer.
STEP 3 : Open the PSD files and the photo which you have chosen to apply on your photoshop program.
STEP 4 : Click on the MOVE tool and select the BOKEH PSD file 1 and move it over your photo. Next, click on the MOVE tool again and select the BOKEH PSD file 2 and move it over your photo again.
You should achieve this effect :
